Fleetwith Pike and Silver How

July 24, 2017

Two Lakeland visits in the space of a week found me first on Fleetwith Pike from Honister mine and then Silver How out of Grasmere, both in glorious summer sunshine. Tremendous views off Fleetwith Pike along the length of the Buttermere valley with the three lakes of Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater all within view and a multitude of Lakeland mountains. In fact I had great views all the way to Scotland! The second walk was in fierce sunlight (and 27 degrees of heat) so the photography was somewhat restricted but I did manage to get a shot of Grasmere itself from high above the village.
