I enjoyed a day out in the northern lakes recently visiting several sites over the course of a long day. We started out at the northern end of Ullswater where initially the light was very poor and I was all for going, but we stayed and within ten minutes the view had transformed into something wonderful! From there we went on to Castlerigg and St Johns in the Vale before wandering at leisure over to Tewet Tarn, which was the main objective of the day. Having an hour to spare we went up to Latrigg for a slow stroll overlooking Keswick. A couple of images from the day are now added to the Lake District page including this one of Lonscale Fell as seen over Tewet Tarn.
